Here’s a little about us…

Rhian, Camp Director

Rhian (she/hers) is originally from Tryon, North Carolina, a small town at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She moved to Bozeman after graduating from Brown University to work at Big Sky as a ski instructor, having since taken on the role of Seasonal Programs Supervisor for the past two seasons. In addition to three winters at the resort, Rhian has coached a girls' soccer team for three seasons, backpack guided for Moonlight Basin and Adventure Treks, and worked at Camp Pinnacle in Hendersonville, NC, for the better part of five summers as a counselor and trip leader. She genuinely loves working with kids and looks forward to the opportunity to continue facilitating experiences for children to learn and grow while getting outside.

In her own time, Rhian will take any chance she gets to be outside in the sun, whether skiing, paddling, mountain biking, or playing soccer/ultimate frisbee!

Megan, Camp Supervisor

I have lived in many different places throughout my life. I was born in Hawaii, then moved to Texas, Colorado, Ohio, and Florida. I went back to Hawaii for university where I got my degree in English. After graduating university, I moved to the small town of Talkeetna, Alaska for the summer. The following year I worked a summer season in Yellowstone, where I fell in love with the surrounding area and decided that I wanted to stay for as long as possible, but wasn’t done traveling just yet. In the middle of covid, I moved to South Korea where I taught English as a second language for two years before deciding that it was time to come back to the States, and moved to Big Sky in the summer of 2023. During the fall season, I went back home to Florida and worked as a volunteer in the wildlife rehabilitation center at Alaqua Animal Refuge before joining Moonlight Basin as the Kid’s Rec Supervisor in December.

When I’m not working, you can find me taking naps in my car in Yellowstone (more specifically: Hayden Valley), hiking on nearby trails in the summer, or attempting to snowboard in the winter months (next season I will get off the bunny hill).

Hayley, Camp Counselor

Hello, my name is Hayley. My family and I moved from a small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania to Ennis, Montana four years ago. Not only am I an awesome big sister to my own sister, but I have also participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for four years. I’ve also been a teacher’s assistant for three years and I enjoy babysitting and teaching children. I was born and raised in the country, and I love all that it entails! My hobbies are reading, archery, hunting, hiking, and horseback riding.

Annabelle, Camp Counselor

Annabelle (she/her) grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Here, she developed a taste for adventure, and upon graduating with a degree in Psychology, she moved to Spain to teach Spanish youth English. Discovering a passion for education in her time in Spain, she began her pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian Action with a focus on bringing equitable education to children in the USA and abroad. This Master’s program brought her to the Netherlands, Malta, and Thailand to study and work with non-profit educational organizations. Recently returned to the USA, Annabelle strives to be engaged in the community, and integrate the knowledge learned through her experiences in her interactions.

Having grown up on the grounds of a historical nature park in northern Illinois created within her a longstanding passion for the outdoors and the ability to find creative ways to have fun outside. She has always made sure to prioritize finding a nature getaway in every place she’s lived, whether the rocky mountains of Spain or the jungles of Thailand. Sundays are her favorite day because she gets to have her favorite food and do her favorite activity- bagels and hiking! Annabelle prides herself most on her warmth, creativity, and sense of humor.

Oz, Camp Counselor

(she/her) Growing up on the lakes of Minnesota, I spent nearly my whole life outdoors. From surfing and water skiing in the summertime to ice skating and skiing in winter, spending quality time outdoors was a vital part of my childhood. I moved to Bozeman, Montana nearly 3 years ago where I have fallen in love with the mountains and am able to continue all my outdoor adventures! Here in Bozeman I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at MSU!

I love spending time with kids and have experience as a summer nanny, teacher, and coach. You can often find me spending time by the river, hiking, painting, and practicing yoga!

Taylor, Camp Counselor

(she/her) Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I spent most of my time enjoying the city life. Though that didn't stop me from enjoying the outdoors. Growing up fishing and camping with my family, I grew a big love for being in nature. Which led me to embark on a 5 month long road-trip along the east coast, exploring everything from the big cities to the national parks and beaches.

From babysitting my many nieces and nephews my whole life to working in daycares throughout Philly, I have always had a passion for working in childcare. Bringing that passion to Montana, I’ve started off my Big Sky journey working in the Kids Department at Moonlight Basin.

Winter is hands down my favorite season. There’s nothing I love more than enjoying the snow and cold weather. But when the weather warms up, I love spending as much time as possible outside. Soaking up the sun on a beach or hiking some nice trails. To me, nothing beats spending time outside, regardless of the season.

Althea, Camp Counselor

My name is Althea Gay (she/her). I am originally from Nebraska City, Nebraska. I love working with kids, I’m studying to be an elementary teacher. I’ve worked with children each summer through different summer camp jobs. During the school year I work at the UNL Outdoor Adventure Center and I love outdoor activities. So, I am so excited to work as a kids recreation counselor to combine my passion for working with kids while also incorporating my love for the outdoors!

My favorite ways to spend time outdoors are running and hiking. And when I have the opportunity I love skiing!
